Almost six years ago I started a new job. A maintenance tech with zero experience. I was resurfacing the factory floor and learning the scary machines.
Today I got the call from my boss offering me the Mezzanine Maintenance Manager position. I’ve basically coveted that job since I started. Watching Andy do it, I was convinced I could be that guy. And now I am that guy.
It hasn’t sunk in yet, I don’t think. I’m sure the job will be stressful and as annoying as any other job. But for today I’m so totally pumped. I got the promotion I’ve always wanted.
