Just finished up this long week. I worked my usual weekend shift, but Tuesday I flew to Wisconsin with Andy for this year’s meeting. It was a good meeting, lots of cool information, machine upgrades and mods.
All in all it was great time, but I felt overwhelmed and out of my depth. Cripes, in the introduction I forgot to tell the group how long I’d been with the company, and blurted out I was the only non-manager present in a totally fucking awkward fashion.
I gave my powerpoint presentation, but I rushed and stumbled my way through. And I had to follow a great presentation, and a surprise retirement announcement right before my slot.
Oh well. Still, I learned a lot, ate more than I had any reason to and had a shit flight home from Chicago.
