Took my car to get inspected today. Wow. Last April I hit a deer on my way to work and took my car to Connor’s Auto Body. They repaired the body and the front passenger suspension system which was damaged at a cost of almost $2,400 out of my pocket. Today my car cost another $935 to repair that same suspension system. The. Exact. Same. Parts.(!) So what the fuck did I pay Connor’s for?...
So in other news besides 200,000 dead: Mason is slumping in baseball. Ford is actively dying. We’re very shorthanded at work and I’m pulling extra shifts. And now Mason will be staying with me indefinitely because Amanda’s neighbor is mentally ill and threatened to kill her, basically. Neat! Oh! And my axle boot is torn and leaking grease. Groovy! Best news I have right now is that Simon is finally going to day shift on September 14th!...
So, quite a few things happening recently and I haven’t been updating much. Oops, sorry ): First and foremost, Susie is now moved out and waiting on her security deposit. Woot! The apartment/house search continues. Also, the folks in charge of WBIG are morons. First day of the new schedule and it was a cluster fuck of epic proportions. Meh. Which means, it’s Monday, and it’s my weekend. Weird. And the best news of the past week; I got my car back today, and also finally got my stimulus check....
Got that appraisal today. Close to what I thought. $2300. not terrible but… Ya know. Unnecessary. Oh well.
TL;DR Nissan lost. On my way to my essential job this morning at 5:45 am, met a deer on the road. Kicker was, I was going in at 6 instead of 7 and could have avoided this whole fiasco. Pictures here.
